Steering Valve for Forklift
Forklift Steering Valve - A valve is a device which regulates the flow of a fluid such as fluidized gases or regular gases, liquids, slurries, by closing, partially obstructing or opening particular passageways. Valves are normally pipe fittings but are usually discussed as a separate category. In cases where an open valve is concerned, fluid flows in a direction from higher to lower pressure.
Valves are used in various applications such as military, industrial, residential, transport and commercial businesses. Some of the main businesses that depend on valves include the chemical manufacturing, power generation, water reticulation, sewerage, oil and gas sector and mining.
Most valves being utilized in day to day activities are plumbing valves, that are utilized in taps for tap water. Several common valves comprise types fitted to dishwashers and washing machines, gas control valves on cookers, valves in car engines and safety devices fitted to hot water systems. In nature, veins within the human body act as valves and regulate the blood circulation. Heart valves even regulate the circulation of blood in the chambers of the heart and maintain the correct pumping action.
Valves can be operated in several ways. Like for example, they can be worked either by a lever, a handle or a pedal. Valves can be driven by changes in pressure, flow or temperature or they can be automatic. These changes may act upon a diaphragm or a piston which in turn activates the valve. Various popular examples of this type of valve are seen on safety valves or boilers fitted to hot water systems.
Valves are utilized in many complex control systems which could need an automatic control that is based on external input. Controlling the flow through the pipe to a changing set point is one example. These circumstances generally require an actuator. An actuator would stroke the valve depending on its set-up and input, allowing the valve to be positioned precisely while enabling control over several requirements.
